‘Power Rangers: Western Strike’ is an all-original story with a brand new band of high-schoolers ready to kick some monster butt, in color-coded spandex with mystically-enhanced weapons. This Fan-Series is independently funded and was created by Johnson A. Carter over five years ago, finally heading into production in Late April around the 21st.
The preview image shows all five main Rangers in an unfinished, low-resolution shot. They display determined expressions, suggesting they have just faced a formidable opponent or are engaged in a street battle. From left to right, the Rangers are: Casey Arnold as June (Blue), Arelious Porter as Darren Brown (Red), Jasmine Wright as Maria Villkor (White), Johnson A. Carter as Chance South (Yellow), and Shafar Massenburg as Akio (Black).
The plot of ‘Western Strike goes as follows: “When an evil robot named 'Kairo' begins to wreak havoc on the city of Green Bern, it's up to five teenagers to tap into the Morphing Grid and save their city by becoming the Power Rangers Western Strike.” This gives the audience a rough idea of what they can expect from the series going forward, knowing that all material is 100% original, including footage and other elements.

A few weeks before production, the team faced challenges filling key crew positions, which raised concerns. With support from members of the Florida-based production company VLOR—including Co-Owner, Cinematographer, and Director Jake Locrotondo, Co-Owner and Set Designer Nicholle Vazquez, Electrician Amo Michel, and First Assistant Director Matthew Melo—they resolved these issues and began filming. Carter (Yellow Ranger) are new to large-scale productions and are expected to deliver strong and engaging performances.
The full cast was present on set, and their confirmed roles have generated excitement for the pilot episode. According to insiders, the pilot was produced on a rumored “$10,000” budget without crowdfunding and was completed by a dedicated small crew. This makes it one of the most anticipated and ambitious independent fan projects to date.
